Kayla Rees

MA, LMHC

Kayla identifies as white, cis-female, and queer.

Kayla is passionate about working with birthing folks during pregnancy or any time postpartum to explore issues related to anxiety, depression, or general sense of fogginess/dis-ease following a birth. Kayla weaves together her personal experience of becoming a parent (including a colicky baby, feeding difficulties, and endless sleep issues) with her clinical knowledge in postpartum mood disorders, as well as general trauma. Kayla is trained in mindfulness-based therapy, sex therapy, and certified in Body Trust, a modality that examines how weight bias impacts our everyday lives.

Kayla's desire is to work with women wanting to feel more alive again, who may feel they 'lost themselves' somewhere in the daily grind, who seek to break generational patterns within parenting, who want to reignite their own creativity, and who ultimately seek to befriend and understand their own intuition.

When she is not working, you can find Kayla reading or writing in one of her favorite coffee shops, or spending time with her partner and two children.
