Sean Seyer, MA, LPC, LMHC

Sean has been working in mental health since 2008. He is professionally trained and licensed as a counselor in the states of Washington and Texas.* Sean is trained in psychodynamic therapy approaches and has studied various effective methods for working with gender, sexuality, anxiety, relationship, and identity issues. He has done his own intensive work in therapy and brings with him extensive experience working in youth centers, drug rehabs, psychiatric hospitals, and private practice. Sean is a trans man who has lived and worked in and outside of the queer community throughout his career.  Additionally, he works effectively with teens and adults who are autistic and individuals who suspect they may be autistic or neurodivergent.

Prior to becoming a therapist, Sean was an audio engineer for film and music. He worked on creative projects, films, albums, and live performances for years. He brings his experience in the arts to his therapy by creating helpful blogsposts and videos. He also works with artists who struggle with blocks to creativity, financial ruts, and emotional pain.

Sean has lived in Olympia, WA since 2016 .

*Sean Taylor Seyer is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in the state of Washington and a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the State of Texas, having met the educational requirements and passed the written examination given by the Washington Department of Health as well as the Texas State Board of Examiners of Professional Counselors. He has completed a Masters Program in Counseling Psychology at Pacifica Graduate Institute (Carpinteria, California). Sean has experience working directly with clients struggling with gender variance, anxiety, depression, suicide ideation, alcohol and drug issues, relational struggles, creativity blockage, and employment trouble. Sean Taylor Seyer provides in person, online and phone counseling sessions.
