Grace Porter, MA, LMHC
I’m Grace Porter, LMHC, LCPC, LPC, LCMHC (she/her) and I am a depth psychotherapist practictioner serving residents of Washington State, Maryland, North Carolina, and Georgia. My warm, intuitive, and holistic style is relationship focused, since healing, just like so much wounding, happens in relationship.
For over 15, I have been working with trauma survivors utilizing depth psychology and attachment based therapy, as well as an eclectic array of creative and body centered approaches. I take a holistic approach to healing, looking at clients’ entire life situation and exploring how beliefs formed from past experiences (to include traumatic ones) are shaping the client’s current experience of life. I welcome people of all genders, sexual orientations, body sizes, spiritual expressions, and races.
I specialize in working with burnt out overgivers and high performers who feel that their past is getting in the way of their future. I also enjoy working with young adults as they transition into adulthood, finding their own authentic path in the world and female veterans.
I’m a Certified Advanced Facilitator of I AM Yoga Nidra, a sleep based meditation practice that is a powerful tool for both healing and creating a deeper sense of wellbeing. I am also the co-founder of The Seven Tools (www.the7tools.com), where I teach classes and workshops on changing limiting beliefs and creating deep and lasting personal growth and transformation. Additionally, I am trained in Reiki and bring my energetic awareness to session when it is welcomed. Something a little different about my practice is that I offer established clients the option of 1-3 day Therapy Intensives in addition to regularly scheduled appointments.
